Gardens By The BayGardens By The Bay @ Marina SouthThree distinctive waterfront gardens in the Marina Bay area – Gardens at Marina South, Gardens at Marina East, and Gardens at Marina Centre will be created by 2011. Gardens By The Bay seek to enthrall, capture the imagination and create memorable experiences for visitors. A horticultural fantasy, they will showcase garden craftsmanship and floral artistry at its finest. Gardens by the Bay will capture the essence of Singapore as the premier tropical Garden City with the perfect environment in which to live and work, and will help make Singapore a leading global city of the 21st century. Spanning 101 hectares of prime waterfront real estate at the heart of Singapore's new downtown in Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay will encompass three distinctive waterfront gardens: Gardens at Marina South, Gardens at Marina East, and Gardens at Marina Centre. Gardens at Marina SouthGardens at Marina South, a garden of colour, vibrancy and edutainment will have vibrant displays of tropical blooms and foliage incorporating an outdoor concert and events area and a flower fairground that will be home to the Singapore Garden Festival. Key attractions in Gardens at Marina South includes two cool conservatory complexes and the iconic supertrees. Occupying 2.3 hectares, the conservatories will be the first of their kind in a tropical country, showcasing flowers from temperature zones. The supertrees, ranging in height from 30 metres to 50 metres, will also be the first of their kind and will serve as vertical gardens, an "engine room" for the conservatory's environmental system, receptacles to collect rainwater and lit features at night. The tallest of the supertrees will house an exclusive F&B outlet offering panoramic views of the Marina Bay.
