The Turnhouse was a unique single-storey military building which the British built in 1934 is designed in the Art Deco-style with an open verandah in front. A stepped pediment with the year of construction crowns the main entrance. It displays architectural features similar to the other barrack buildings in the area, and could have been used for recreational purposes.
