A foreign visitor arriving in Singapore is required to complete the Disembarkation / Embarkation Form (or D/E Form) as shown below. Singapore Permanent Residents, work pass holders and other valid pass holders are not required to fill in D/E Forms.
There are three versions of Bilingual D/E Forms available:
- English / Chinese
- English / Malay
- English / Japanese
To facilitate clearance, all D/E Forms must be completed in a neat and legible manner. A separate D/E Form must be completed for each accompanying child travelling with the same passport.
At the immigration counter, the visitor must present the completed D/E Form together with his travel document to the ICA officer. Upon the grant of immigration clearance, the Disembarkation portion will be retained by the ICA officer. The Embarkation portion will be returned to the visitor. An endorsement indicating the period that the visitor is allowed to enter and stay in Singapore will be stamped on both portions of the D/E Form as well as on the passport.
When the visitor leaves Singapore, the Embarkation portion will be retrieved from the visitor.
The D/E Form is issued free of charge. It is obtainable from all checkpoints in Singapore. Those arriving by air can obtain the form from the airlines or on board their flights to Singapore while those arriving by land and sea can obtain it from their travel agents and ferry operators.
Important Note
A foreign visitor arriving in Singapore may be required to complete other declaration forms / cards as and when required by Singapore authorities.
