Changi Airport is arguably one of the best airports in the world offering a wide array of state of the art facilities and amenities. It has won over 250 awards for customer service and security since it`s opening in 1981


Getting to and from Changi Airport

Changi Airport by Car
Changi airport is located 20km (13 miles) northeast of Singapore city. The airport has three car parks that offering varying prices for short and longer stays. Car Park 1 serves Terminal 1, the multi-story Car Parks 2B and 2A serve Terminal 2 and Car Parks 3A and 3B serve Terminal 3.

Changi Airport by Train
A rapid transit system known as The Mass Rapid Transit or MRT is the backbone of Singapore`s railway system. The airport MRT station is located at Terminal 2. If travelling to the airport the names of the terminal stations to look for are Pasir Ris or Changi Airport. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the city from the airport by train.

Changi Airport by Bus
The public bus service is frequent and reliable with buses regularly leaving the stations located in the basements of each of the terminals. Public bus service 36 goes to the city and buses from the city stop at Terminals 1, 2 and 3. It`s important to note that exact change is often required. Passengers can use the changing machines in the Arrivals halls in the terminals. For information on all forms of transport to and from Changi airport you would be wise to consult The Ground Transportation Centre, which is situated in the Arrivals hall of Terminal 1.

Changi Airport by Taxi
Taxi ranks are available 24 hours a day and can be found outside the Arrivals hall.


Facilities and Amenities at Changi Airport

Shopping
This large airport is spread over three main terminals. At Terminal 1 you will find top designer retailers such as Burberry, Bvlgari, Harrods, Hugo boss to name just a few. At Terminal 2 you can shop at Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Hermes and Prada. And at Terminal 3, which is the largest Terminal in terms of shopping, you can browse Polo Ralph Lauren, Rolex, Salvatore Ferragmo and Samsonite. It`s not all designer shopping either with all 3 Terminals housing other less expensive well-known names for the ultimate airport shopping.

Leisure Facilities
Arguably one of the most relaxing airports to find yourself, Changi airport has a spa, swimming pool, showers, massage therapy services, hairdressers, beauty salons and a fitness centre should you wish to exercise. The airport also has several calm and attractive themed gardens for relaxation. There are also multi-faith prayer rooms available.

Dining
The traveller to Changi airport is literally spoiled for choice when it comes to finding something to eat. There is something to suit every taste, ranging from American style fast food to traditional Asian cuisine. It can all be found here and conveniently many of the eateries are open 24 hours.

All-in-all Singapore is a fantastic place to visit. There are many opportunities to book last minute holidays, making Singapore an increasingly accessible place for everyone to visit.

    Rainy sunset along the runway of Changi Airport. No matter how long it's been, it always feels the same to be back.

    Other than the watermark this photo is SOOC - loved these colours and all the shades just the way they were!
